Job summary

Mint Cannabis in Missouri seeks a Retail Lead to act as an operational extension of the Store Manager. You will drive floor flow, ensure guests are tended to promptly, and support the team in meeting responsibilities across the shift.

You will supervise 25+ staff, coach on sales metrics, manage inventory and POS tasks, and ensure compliance with Missouri regulations. This role is fast-paced and customer-focused, with an emphasis on operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cannabis industry experience.
• Leadership background overseeing large teams; cannabis leadership a plus.
• Must be 21+ and able to obtain a Facility Agent Card.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 25+ team members during shifts and ensure upselling targets are met.
• Coach and give sales feedback to the team to improve metrics.
• Manage inventory control to reduce shrinkage and ensure accurate scans.
• Lead daily floor operations including openings, closings, and cash reconciliation.
• Ensure adherence to Missouri compliance requirements and pass state inspections.

Position Summary:

The retail lead's primary responsibility is to be an operational extension to the store manager. Retail leads are responsible for controlling the sales floor flow, ensuring guests are tended to promptly, ensuring team members fulfil their responsibilities, and providing operational support, from discount codes to lunch coverage. The retail lead would be responsible for overseeing their shift team members and sales-floor operational efficiency while on shift.

Responsibilities:

• Daily tasks: The exact work you do.
  • Leadership Responsibilities: Ensuring 25+ Team members are upselling, completing daily inventory responsibilities, and providing a guest experience.
  • Sales Expertise: Responsible for coaching and giving sales feedback to the team on their shift, while also encouraging the team to improve their metrics for their location.
  • Inventory Control: Coaching team members to appropriately scan out products to help reduce shrinkage
  • Floor Operations: Manage daily store openings and closings, cash reconciliation, and point-of-sale (POS) systems and discount codes.
  • Compliance: Understanding Missouri compliance requirements to confidently walk through state inspections, reducing deficiencies.
• Goals: The results you must reach.
  • Improving sales consistently month over month.
  • Team education on expected sales metrics

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, and climbing for long periods of time.
• The environment can be loud
• Atmosphere & Pace: Fast-paced and energetic. The floor features specialized product displays (flower, edibles, concentrates). Staff must be adaptable to busy rushes, as wait times and long lines are common during peak hours
