Job summary

Mint Cannabis is seeking a Retail Lead to act as the store manager's operational extension on the floor in Missouri. You will guide a shift team, manage customer flow, and ensure the sales floor runs efficiently with loss-prevention and clean inventory practices.

Responsibilities include coaching staff on upselling, maintaining inventory controls, managing openings/closings, and staying compliant with state regulations during inspections.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in the cannabis industry.
• Leadership background for large teams; cannabis leadership a plus.
• Experience in sales preferred.
• Must be 21+ and possess (or be able to obtain) a Facility Agent Card.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a shift of 25+ team members to upsell and meet inventory responsibilities.
• Coach and provide sales feedback to the team on shifts and improve location metrics.
• Oversee daily store openings/closings, cash reconciliation, POS, and discount codes.
• Ensure compliance with Missouri state requirements during inspections.

Position Summary

The retail lead's primary responsibility is to be an operational extension to the store manager. Retail leads are responsible for controlling the sales floor flow, ensuring guests are tended to promptly, ensuring team members fulfil their responsibilities, and providing operational support, from discount codes to lunch coverage. The retail lead would be responsible for overseeing their shift team members and sales-floor operational efficiency while on shift.

Responsibilities

• Daily tasks: The exact work you do.
  • Leadership Responsibilities: Ensuring 25+ Team members are upselling, completing daily inventory responsibilities, and providing a guest experience.
  • Sales Expertise: Responsible for coaching and giving sales feedback to the team on their shift, while also encouraging the team to improve their metrics for their location.
  • Inventory Control: Coaching team members to appropriately scan out products to help reduce shrinkage
  • Floor Operations: Manage daily store openings and closings, cash reconciliation, and point-of-sale (POS) systems and discount codes.
  • Compliance: Understanding Missouri compliance requirements to confidently walk through state inspections, reducing deficiencies.
• Goals: The results you must reach.
  • Improving sales consistently month over month.
  • Team education on expected sales metrics.
  • Reducing aging and expiring products.

• Atmosphere & Pace: Fast-paced and energetic. The floor features specialized product displays (flower, edibles, concentrates). Staff must be adaptable to busy rushes, as wait times and long lines are common during peak hours
