Job summary

Cellular Sales is hiring an Inventory Control Clerk to handle receipt, documentation and tracking of goods. You will communicate with the Inventory Manager and support changing priorities while maintaining accuracy of records.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments, matching invoices, recording data, and determining shipping methods. You will also help with inventory counts and moving stock within the store.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in handling shipments and records.
• Ability to plan and organize tasks in a retail inventory setting.
• Strong problem solving to resolve discrepancies and issues.

Responsibilities

• Receive and document goods; verify against records and manifests.
• Compare invoices to received items to ensure accuracy of shipments.
• Record shipment data including weight, charges, space, damages or discrepancies.
• Determine shipping methods based on routes and rates.
• Route materials to departments and prepare items for shipping.
• Rectify problems such as damages or shortages by coordinating with the appropriate party.
• Requisition and store shipping materials; monitor stock levels.
• Conduct physical inventory and maintain inventory closet.
• Move inventory as needed within the store environment.
