Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking a Retail Inventory Control Specialist to manage all inbound and outbound inventory, ensuring shelves are stocked and store operations run smoothly. The role emphasizes accuracy, UPC compliance, loss prevention, and timely documentation within the stockroom.

The position requires collaboration with store teams, coaching on processes, and maintaining a high standard of professionalism and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
• Brand & Product Expert: Demonstrates a strong understanding of Boot Barn’s brand and products.

Responsibilities

• Foster a service and selling culture; exceed expectations to build customer relationships.
• Process all incoming/outbound inventory with accuracy.
• Verify deliveries are compliant and accurate to Company standards.
• Ensure merchandise is prepared for the selling floor and complies with ticketing and signage guidelines.
• Place EAS tags on merchandise before moving to the sales floor per Loss Prevention guidelines.
• Input freight information timely through appropriate systems.
• Execute RTVs, orders, transfers, re-tickets or markdowns per policies.
• Educate and coach sales team on inventory control processes.
• Maintain productivity by meeting UPH targets.
• Keep the stock room neat and compliant with company/state guidelines.
• Adhere to all laws and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Demonstrate professionalism in communication and teamwork.
