Job summary

Boot Barn in Asheville, NC seeks a Retail Inventory Control Specialist to manage inbound/outbound inventory and ensure shelf readiness. You will guarantee the stockroom stays organized, all deliveries are accurate, and pricing/signage comply with standards while coaching the sales team.

This role supports a positive customer experience, maintains inventory accuracy, and helps meet store sales goals with efficient processes and professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Brand & Product Expert: Demonstrates a strong understanding of Boot Barn’s brand and products, communicating product benefits.

Responsibilities

• Foster a service and selling culture; exceed expectations to build customer relationships.
• Process all incoming/outbound inventory with accuracy.
• Verify all merchandise deliveries are compliant and accurate to Company standards.
• Ensure merchandise is prepared for the selling floor and complies with ticketing and signage guidelines.
• Place EAS tags on merchandise before moving it to the sales floor per Loss Prevention guidelines.
• Input freight information accurately through appropriate systems.
• Execute RTVs, orders, transfers, re-tickets or markdowns per policies.
• Educate and coach sales team on processes affecting customer experience throughout inventory control.
• Maintain high productivity by achieving UPH targets.
• Keep a neat, orderly stock room compliant with guidelines.
• Adhere to local, state and company policies.
