Job summary

Staffers Inc. in Jackson, MS is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support our growing Retail Division.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to Retail Leadership, shaping people strategies that drive growth in a fast-paced multi-location retail environment. You will influence leadership decisions, strengthen employee relations, lead recruiting and onboarding, support talent planning, and help create a high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience with expertise in employee relations, investigations, performance management, and full-cycle recruiting.
• Experience with multi-location retail or fast-paced environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders on employee and labor relations, performance management, and engagement to support team effectiveness and business objectives.
• Investigate employee issues, document findings, and recommend compliant solutions and follow-up actions.
• Advise managers on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations while mitigating risk.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting and onboarding across all levels, from frontline to leadership positions.
• Administer HR policies, ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, and promote consistent HR practices.
• Lead onboarding, training, development initiatives, and coach managers on people leadership and employee experience.
• Maintain accurate employee records and support HR audits, reporting and documentation requirements.
• Partner with payroll and benefits to resolve questions and ensure data accuracy.
• Build partnerships with retail leadership to support business needs and operational consistency.
• Analyze turnover, hiring, engagement, and employee relations trends to identify risks and inform decisions.
• Lead or support HR initiatives and process improvements to enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
