Job summary

Macy's in Hawaii is seeking a Housekeeping Lead to ensure daily store cleanliness and to foster a positive work environment for the housekeeping team. This role supports Macy's commitment to outstanding customer service and a clean, welcoming shopping experience.

The position requires the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to train staff and manage cleaning supplies and inventories.

Qualifications

• Preferred 2 Year / Associate Degree.
• 1 year of experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
• Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the store is cleaned daily for our customers.
• Pick up trash from registers, restrooms, offices, common areas.
• Clean and restock restrooms including sanitizing lavatories, walls, counters and basins.
• Dust the sales floor and fixtures.
• Maintain the carpets and tile floors throughout the store.
• Train housekeepers.
• Inventory cleaning supplies.

Job Overview

Physical Requirements

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
• Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
