Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking a Retail Team Member to support customer engagement and store operations in our Rome, GA location. You will help greeting guests, process transactions, and keep the sales floor organized while upholding safety standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and adherence to procedures. Training will cover playbooks, inventory flow, and customer service excellence to support our mission of helping local job seekers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate forklift.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly service while promoting brand and encouraging additional purchases.
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude with guests and uphold a people-first approach.
• Efficiently transition products to the retail floor with attention to detail and urgency.
• Execute and maintain visual merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation.
• Recommend and upsell merchandise and collect transactions at the point of sale.
• Accurately handle POS transactions and resolve guest questions.
• Identify problems quickly and seek management support when needed.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests and support teamwork.
