Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the main contact for customers while helping to stock and display merchandise and maintain planogram compliance. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, and ensure accurate transactions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, building displays, and supporting store cleanliness and order. Previous cashier experience is a plus; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance and merchandise presentation requirements.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock in the back room or on sales floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays; face products on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and maintain storefront appearance.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register, bag purchases, and provide accurate change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean store areas and maintain a tidy front end and sidewalks.
