Job summary

Ollie's Bargain Outlet, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Team Leader to serve as a store keyholder and oversee the receiving area’s efficient operation and maintenance.

You will manage freight flow to the sales floor and ensure adherence to processing and visual merchandising standards, while maintaining back stock and minimizing profit loss from damaged goods. The role includes leading staff during freight processes, ensuring accuracy of shipments, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Flexible schedule to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks within strict timeframes.
• Positive attitude and strong customer and associate interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, unload, check in, and support merchandising of distribution shipments.
• Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.
• Manage effective freight flow in the receiving area and maintain dock equipment and safety.
• Confirm accuracy of incoming merchandise and set up merchandise displays.
• Prepare outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.
• Direct the work of other Associates assisting with freight flow processes.
• Act as Manager on Duty and handle store opening/closing as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, unload, check in, and support the merchandising of distribution shipments of merchandise.
• Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.
• Manage effective freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior.
• Adhere to company standards confirm the accuracy of all incoming merchandise and set up and design merchandise displays.
• Prepare and process outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.
• Direct the work of other Associates who are assisting with freight flow processes.
• Act as Manager on Duty and complete any additional responsibilities as assigned including opening and closing of the store.

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while working within strict timeframes and deadlines.
• Must have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and associates.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
