Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Inc. is seeking a Retail Freight Team Leader to oversee receiving and freight flow to the sales floor. You will manage back stock, ensure accurate merchandise, and maintain a safe dock area while supporting strong visual displays.

The role requires coordinating the work of associates, handling transfers, and stepping in as Manager on Duty as needed. A customer-focused, energetic attitude is essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Positive attitude and ability to interact with customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Plan, unload, check in, and support merchandising of distribution shipments.
• Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.
• Manage effective freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining a safe, orderly dock and exterior.
• Adhere to company standards and confirm the accuracy of all incoming merchandise and set up and design merchandise displays.
• Prepare and process outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.
• Direct the work of other Associates who are assisting with freight flow processes.
• Act as Manager on Duty and complete additional responsibilities including opening and closing of the store.

Position Overview

The Retail Freight Team Leader oversees the efficient operation and maintenance of the receiving area as outlined in the company receiving area plan. Responsibilities include the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of freight flow to the sales floor in accordance with established processing and visual merchandising standards. Maintain back stock in the receiving area and manage the disposition of damaged goods to minimize profit loss.

• Manage effective freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior.
• Adhere to company standards confirm the accuracy of all incoming merchandise and set up and design merchandise displays.
• Prepare and process outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.
• Direct the work of other Associates who are assisting with freight flow processes.
• Act as Manager on Duty and complete any additional responsibilities as assigned including opening and closing of the store.

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while working within strict timeframes and deadlines.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
