Job summary

Buckle is hiring a Freight Coordinator in New Orleans, on-site and part-time. The role focuses on receiving shipments, maintaining backrooms, and ensuring timely, accurate packaging and shipping for guests. A strong emphasis on accuracy, organization, and guest service is required.

Responsibilities cover freight receiving, labeling, and coordinating with stores, along with POS familiarity and security awareness. Training is provided; high flexibility for schedules including peak retail periods.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Verify merchandise invoices against items received to ensure shipments are correct.
• Send alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx.
• Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips.
• Double-check that transfers are processed through the register and match items shipped.
• Fold and package items for shipping to Guests or other stores with proper presentation.
• Remove pins and plastic from merchandise and apply Sensormatic tags before placing on floor.
• Hang and fold merchandise, steam when needed, and assist on floor projects.
• Develop knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) software and use it to receive freight and store transfers.
• Maintain shipment-related paperwork and organize backroom stock.
• Be mindful of security risks and how to prevent theft; label and sort packages by transit time.
• Create FedEx shipping labels, assign appropriate transit times, and prepare RTVs weekly.
• Keep supplies stocked and organized; organize fixtures and shelving; maintain a neat work area.
• Communicate policy violations to Store Manager and HR as needed.
