Job summary

Buckle is seeking a part-time Freight Coordinator in Metairie, LA to support shipping, receiving, and backroom operations. You will assist with packing, labeling, clerical tasks, and maintaining orderly storage areas while upholding Buckle’s customer service standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility in shifts, and adherence to store policies in a retail setting. Prior experience is not required, and part-time benefits apply after waiting periods.

Qualifications

• No required prior experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Verify merchandise invoices against received shipments.
• Send alterations, layaways or special orders to Guests via FedEx.
• Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips.
• Ensure transfers match items shipped out.
• Pack items for presentation when shipping to Guests or other stores.
• Handle tags, hang and fold merchandise, and steam when needed.
• Learn and use Buckle’s POS software for daily tasks.
• Receive freight boxes and store transfers through the register.
• Maintain shipment-related paperwork and organize backroom.
• Monitor for security risks and report concerns to management.
• Create FedEx labels and sort packages by transit time.
• Process recalls and RTVs weekly.
• Keep supplies stocked and the backroom organized.
• Follow Buckle Code of Ethics and company policies.
