Job summary

Vision Ace Hardware is seeking helpful, customer‑focused Floor Associates to deliver legendary service. You will assist customers, stock shelves, and ensure merchandise is presented well while supporting back stock and warehouse duties. Availability for early truck days and weekends is required.

Candidates should have 1–3 years in retail, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be comfortable with flexible shifts, including evenings and holidays. Knowledge of hardware and home improvement helps.

Floor Associates are responsible providing legendary customer service. They offer solutions to our customers’ needs.

Floor Associate responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Have ability to lift heavy cartons from the floor to overhead racks
• Assist with truck days, which typically start at 5:00 AM on Tuesdays and 7:00 AM on Fridays.
• Stock all warehouse, drop ship, and back stock inventory
• Front and face merchandise on shelves as directed by their manager
• Ability to read and explain directions for unfamiliar products

Customer Service:

• Customer service is priority one at all times
• Each customer must be greeted with a smile and asked, "What can I help you find today?"
• Always walk the customer to all products
• Make certain the customer has everything they need for their project
• Vast knowledge of hardware related products and home projects a plus
• Minimum of 1-3 years retail experience is a plus
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs
• The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
• Ability to physically use a scanner to scan all merchandise and to use Point of Sale keyboard and computer keyboard for all transactions
• The ability to see and read product labels, dispense product knowledge, and communicate with customers
• Manual dexterity; working with cash registers and computers, assembly of some products; ability to quickly make appropriate change for customers
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
• Bending, climbing, and twisting are routine; the position requires the ability to retrieve, stock, and move product
• Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
