Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking a store leader to plan, direct and supervise daily operations across departments. You will mentor team members, drive customer service and sales, and ensure adherence to Meijer standards during prime hours.

The role focuses on staffing, development, and ensuring a safe, efficient store environment with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; helpful for customer service and product flow.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction and to resolve conflicts.

• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs for team members.
• Documents disciplinary actions and may discharge as needed.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.

Serves as the mentor and coach for all team members. Implements strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales while ensuring customer needs are met and service is quick and efficient.
