Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Facilities Associate to uphold a clean, safe store environment in Cape May, NJ. Responsibilities include interior/exterior upkeep, floor care, and hazard reporting to leadership.

The role may involve merchandising support, stocking shelves, displays, pricing, and assisting customers at the register. Prior facilities experience is required and retail/customer service background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior facilities experience is required.
• Experience working in a retail environment or in customer service is preferred.
• Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct maintenance and safety issues inside and outside the store.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and maintain floors and surfaces.
• Empty waste containers and remove interior trash and debris.
• Check and maintain bathroom, breakroom and supplies for daily operations.
• Maintain building approaches clear of debris, snow, and obstructions.
• Ensure clean, safe, and orderly work areas and properly labeled cleaning supplies.
• Provide excellent service on the sales floor and at the point of sale, assist with merchandising as needed.
