Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Store Associate to support customers, operate a cash register, and keep shelves stocked and visually appealing. You will unload deliveries, assist with product inquiries, promote loyalty programs and offers, and maintain safety and clean store standards. Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills are required.
• Legible handwriting as well as good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build friendly rapport and provide exceptional service to customers.
• Operate a cash register, handle transactions accurately, and assist customers with inquiries and locating products.
• Promote loyalty programs, donations, and special offers to customers.
• Maintain displays, restock areas, and ensure merchandising standards are met.
• Unload deliveries and prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
• Follow safety protocols and keep the store clean and organized.
