Job summary

Expo Home Improvement is seeking a Retail & Events Representative to represent the company at busy retail locations, home shows, and events across North Texas. You will approach homeowners, discuss their home improvement needs and aim to schedule in-home appointments with our design team.

This is a direct employee role, not third-party marketing. The position emphasizes energy, professionalism, and superior customer service, with a base pay progression and strong earning potential through

As a Retail & Events Representative with Expo Home Improvement, you’ll represent our company at high-traffic retail locations, home shows, and events throughout North Texas. You’ll approach homeowners, start conversations about their home improvement needs, and generate interest in scheduling an in-home appointment with our design team. This is NOT a third-party marketing company. You’ll be a direct employee of Expo Home Improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Proactively approach and engage homeowners
• Start conversations, ask questions, and uncover home improvement needs
• Keep conversations going and work through initial hesitation or objections
• Generate interest and set qualified appointments for our sales team
• Meet weekly appointment-setting and performance goals
• Represent Expo with energy, professionalism, and excellent customer service

You will hear “no” in this role. We’re looking for someone who can stay confident, keep their energy up, and move on to the next conversation without getting discouraged.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay Progression

• Day 1: $18.00/hour
• After 90 Days: $19.00/hour
• After 6 months: $20.00/hour
• After 9 months: $21.00/hour

Weekly earning potential: $1,000–$2,500+

Performance Bonuses:

• Earn $400–$600 per gross sale, with bonus amounts increasing based on the number of gross sales achieved
• $300 bonus per net sale

Before You Apply

• Reliable transportation is required
• Must be comfortable driving up to 50 miles one way to assigned locations
• Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel over 50 miles one way
• You’ll know your assigned work location in advance
• Must be comfortable working in an active retail/event environment

Requirements

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (e.g., event materials, signage).
• Comfortable with prolonged periods of speaking and engaging with the public.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations within a workday (retail sites and events).
• Must be able to stop, reach, and bend occasionally when setting up booths or materials.
• Must be able to report to and work from different assigned locations, which may vary day to day based on business needs.
