Job summary

Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri is seeking a full-time Retail Sales & Services Assistant to support operations and marketing of retail and services, including the Girl Scout Shop, Build-A-Bear Workshop, and events. You will handle transactions, inventory, and provide a positive shop experience while updating product information and images.

The role offers a hybrid work environment with a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive hourly wage of $18.68–$20.55.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

• Support the Council’s revenue goals by assisting in the operations and inventory control of retail sales and providing optimal customer service.
• Record sales statistics, prepare and deliver deposits to the Finance team and report any discrepancies to the Retail Sales and Services Director.
• Update the e-commerce site by adding and deleting merchandise as appropriate, and providing up-to-date, high quality product information and images.
• Provide a high level of customer service to all clients.
• Lead and/or assist with Build-A-Bear Workshop parties and event experiences.
• Prepare orders for shipping and receive goods as they arrive, ensuring that all relevant procedures are followed.
• Create merchandise presentations, including signage, pricing, and labeling.
• Implement seasonal displays.
• Maintain inventory, including monitoring returns, repairs, and replacements, and implement loss prevention measures.
• Communicate new item and supply needs to the Director of Retail Sales and Service.
• Serve as a collaborative team member, working to advance the mission of Girl Scouts.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
