Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory locates a West Covina store seeking a SALES ASSOCIATE/MATERIAL HANDLER to assist customers and donors and maintain the sales floor and donation area.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, stocking merchandise, processing donations, handling POS transactions, and ensuring safety and compliance. Flexible scheduling with part-time shifts, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock items and merchandize on the sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area, keep it clean and organized; perform cleaning as assigned by Management.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies in accordance with TSA Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory items.
• Provide Quality Assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.
• Assist donors with removal of donated items and provide receipts.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack material as instructed by Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
