Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee Retail Donation Center operations across multiple locations. You will lead daily activities, drive results, ensure exceptional donor service, and foster partnerships while developing high-performing teams.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and strong communication with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Strong work ethic with good attention to detail as well as ability to be self-motivated and take initiative.
• Solution oriented and decisive by nature.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid drivers’ license and clean MVR.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Make day-to-day operational decisions within the assigned area of responsibility and adjust plans as needed to meet business goals.
• Ensure donors receive excellent service and a consistent, positive experience across all assigned operations.
• Travel between locations as needed to support business needs, partnerships, and program execution.
• Ensure locations are staffed and Team Members are trained and mentored to company standards.
• Maintain RDC operations, including coverage, maintenance, product management, loss prevention, and standards.
• Ensure locations are clean, safe, and reflect the Goodwill brand.
• Monitor payroll and operating costs against the budget.
• Lead process improvements and cost-savings initiatives and support tools/systems.
