Job summary

Goodwill Industries SELA seeks a Retail Associate for the Burbank Dr. location in Baton Rouge. This entry-level, full-time role will support retail operations, assist donors and customers, and help maintain a clean, organized sales floor.

The position requires ability to lift up to 25 lbs., flexible scheduling including weekends, and a commitment to the mission of Goodwill. Training is provided to successful candidates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Prior work experience in service industry preferred but not required.
• Must successfully complete Retail training.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register, receive payment for purchases and record sales.
• Sort and price donated goods and prepare for display on the sales floor.
• Transfer merchandise from back room to sales floor and restock as needed.
• Assist donors and customers with general information and receipts.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures and attend scheduled shifts.
• Keep the store clean and hazard-free, including bathrooms and aisles.
