Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is hiring for a full-time Retail Donation Attendant at the Fenton store, located at 3150 Owen Rd., Fenton. The position starts at $15.00 per hour with opportunities to earn annual bonuses and enjoy a 20% discount on in-store purchases.

Essential duties include assisting donors, recording donations and items, maintaining backroom and sales floor cleanliness, and providing friendly, professional service.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Flexibility to work Sundays–Saturdays and varied shifts.
• Able to stand for six to eight hours per shift.

• Record donors and donations accurately on the Donation Tracking form; record items on the Bill of Lading.
• Assist with janitorial duties and keep backroom and sales floor clean and orderly.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to donors, assisting them with donations in a friendly, professional, and safe manner.
• Assist with customer/donor concerns, handling them professionally.
• Record all donors and donations accurately on the Donation Tracking form; record all gaylords/items accurately on the Bill of Lading.
• Assist with janitorial duties, maintaining the cleanliness in the backroom and on the sales floor.
• Maintain standard back room layout and orderliness to ensure efficiency.

• Ability and willingness to work flexible shifts as assigned; Sunday – Saturday between thehours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Extra shifts may be required.
• Can you lift and carry35 pounds?
• Can youreach, bend or stoop?
• Are you able to stand six to eight hours a day?
• Do you have areliable means of transportationto report to work on time?
• Ability to learn and utilize safe lifting techniques.
• Ability to work in cold or warm temperatures, depending on weather and donation traffic.
