Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC is seeking a Home Delivery Driver in California. You will deliver products to customer locations, handling items safely and providing professional service. You will inspect items, load/unload trucks, and maintain a professional image while adhering to company policies.

Requires a clean driving record, 21+ years old, and at least 1 year driving experience. CDL not required. Benefits include health options, employee discounts, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving record and be 21 years of age or older.
• No CDL required for this driver position.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and complete a DOT physical if applicable.
• Driver certification class including a road evaluation test may be required.

Responsibilities

• Handle products safely in all deliveries.
• Inspect products for damages and perform touch-ups if needed.
• Place products in designated storage areas safely.
• Prepare and load customer delivery trucks.
• Unload products at customer homes and position them carefully.
• Follow store policies and procedures at all times.
• Communicate customer concerns to Warehouse Support and Customer Service.
• Complete shipping/receiving paperwork as required.
• May complete Department of Transportation paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse area.
• Maintain a professional image and appearance.
• Assist with vehicle inspection, maintenance and fueling.

Primary Job Functions

• Handle products safely.
• Conduct physical inspection of product to identify damages goods, perform touch- up and repair as needed on product.
• Place products in designated storage areas safely.
• Prepare and load customer delivery trucks.
• Unload and safely place products in customer home.
• Understand and comply with all store policies and procedures.
• Remove all the packaging materials from the location.
• Communication and documents customer concerns to Warehouse Support.
• Communicates credit, damage and essential information to the Customer Service Department.
• May be required to complete shipping/ receiving paperwork
• May be required to complete Department of Transportation paperwork.
• Maintains a clean and organized warehouse area.
• Maintain a professional image.
• Assist driver as needed with vehicle inspection, routine maintenance and fueling of vehicle at approved locations.
• Completes other assignments and special projects as requested.
• Maintains reliable attendance.

Job Qualifications

Education

• High School, Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Clean Driving record - 3 years
• NO CDL needed
• Must be 21 years of age
• Department of Transportation physical examination
• 1 year driving experience
• Driving certification class, including a road evaluation test

Compensation: This position pays an hourly rate of $19.00 - $19.00
