Job summary

ActionLink is hiring a Part-Time Retail Merchandiser for Kansas City, MO, to install and service electronics displays at major retailers. You’ll work Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm, up to 20–30 hours weekly, with no weekends or evenings.

The role involves setting up displays for brands like Microsoft, Samsung, and Intel, with potential for higher-rate technical projects and travel reimbursement. Paid training and PTO accrue weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, 3PL, or retail is desirable.
• Must be able to follow complex display diagrams and written instructions.
• Tech-ready with Wi-Fi, GPS-enabled device; laptop/desktop is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visit major retail stores within the territory to set up and maintain product displays.
• Ensure proper placement, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of promo displays.
• Submit same-day digital surveys with feedback and pictures for each visit.
• Travel between stores; maintain independence and teamwork as needed.

• Store Visits: Complete projects at major retail stores within an assigned territory to represent our clients' brands by setting up and maintaining a wide variety of their products -you'd be working with anything from HD TVs and home theater equipment; small and large home appliances; tablets & laptops; gaming consoles; home audio; and more!
• Purpose: Ensure proper placement, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of promotional product displays
• Clients: Represent global clients such as Microsoft, Samsung, T-Mobile, Dyson, Bose, and Intel
• Scheduling: Up to 20-30 hours per week, availability required Monday-Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm. No weekends/evenings
• Additional Opportunities: Potential for more hours if covering larger regions or traveling.
• Reporting: Submit same-day digital surveys with feedback and pictures for each store visit

• Experience: Previous merchandising, 3PL, or relevant retail experience is highly desirable
• Versatility: Handle all levels of merchandising work within assigned territory
• Attention to Detail: F"ollow complex written instructions and display diagrams
• Independence and Teamwork: Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a small team when needed
• Tech-ready: Internet access, basic hand-held tools, and a Wi-Fi/GPS enabled smart device with latest OS update. Laptop/desktop access is a plus
• Travel Ability: Must have driver's license and access to a personal vehicle and will be required to use their vehicle to perform the responsibilities of the role.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift products weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
