Job summary

ActionLink is seeking a Part-Time Retail Merchandiser in Garden City, KS to enhance the in-store experience. You will visit stores in Garden City and surrounding areas to set up and maintain electronics and home appliance displays, ensuring correct placement and signage.

You must have experience in merchandising, be comfortable traveling to multiple locations on weekdays, and carry a valid driver’s license. The role offers paid training, PTO accrual, and a W-2 employment arrangement.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising, 3PL, or relevant retail experience.
• Follow complex display diagrams and instructions.
• Able to travel across the Garden City area and surrounding towns.

Responsibilities

• Visit stores to set up and maintain product displays across assigned retailers.
• Complete projects and ensure correct placement, assembly, and maintenance of promo displays.
• Submit same-day digital surveys with feedback and photos for each store visit.

Store Visits

• Store Visits: Complete projects at major retail stores within an assigned territory to represent our clients’ brands by setting up and maintaining a wide variety of their products –you’d be working with anything from HD TVs and home theater equipment; small and large home appliances; tablets & laptops; gaming consoles; home audio; and more!
• Purpose: Ensure proper placement, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of promotional product displays
• Clients: Represent global clients such as Microsoft, Samsung, T-Mobile, Dyson, Bose, and Intel
• Scheduling: Up to 25 hours per week, availability required Monday-Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm. No weekends/evenings
• Travel: There will be daily trips needed for Garden City with possible bi-weekly travel to Goodland, Great Bend, Dodge City, Liberal and anything else in the vicinity. Drive time and mileage paid to get to ALL of these locations.
• Additional Opportunities: Potential for more hours if covering larger regions or traveling.
• Reporting: Submit same-day digital surveys with feedback and pictures for each store visit

Experience & Skills

• Experience: Previous merchandising, 3PL, or relevant retail experience is highly desirable
• Versatility: Handle all levels of merchandising work within assigned territory
• Attention to Detail: Follow complex written instructions and display diagrams
• Independence and Teamwork: Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a small team when needed
• Tech-ready: Internet access, basic hand‑held tools, and a Wi‑Fi/GPS enabled smart device with latest OS update. Laptop/desktop access is a plus
• Travel Ability: Must have driver's license and access to a personal vehicle and will be required to use their vehicle to perform the responsibilities of the role.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift products weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
