Position Overview

University of North Texas Dining Services is seeking dependable and customer-focused hourly Dining Associates to support daily operations across UNT Retail Dining locations. In this role, you will assist with front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house responsibilities to ensure efficient operations and an exceptional guest experience. Duties include preparing food and beverages, assembling orders, operating a cash register and point‑of‑sale (POS) system, stocking supplies, maintaining clean work areas, and following food safety and sanitation standards.

Job Duties

• Prepare and serve food and beverages by following standardized recipes and quality standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, accurately taking and fulfilling orders, and operating the POS system.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, properly operating equipment and cleaning workstations.
• Support daily retail dining operations by stocking supplies and maintaining organized dining and kitchen areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient operation of UNT Retail Dining locations.

Minimum Qualifications

Basic understanding of food service, sanitation, and safety practices, or the ability to learn and apply them quickly.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a scheduled shift.
• Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and punctuality.
• Work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional service.
