Job summary

Nintendo of America Inc. is seeking a senior Retail Marketing & Strategy leader in a hybrid role based in Redmond, WA. You will drive digital content strategy, collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and retail partners, and manage launches with presell coordination and budget oversight.

Qualifications

  • Seven years of relevant work experience.
  • Two+ years presenting analysis recommendations to retailers and leadership.
  • Experience working in or leading a multi-functional department.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with Oracle, Tableau, and Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Expertise in spreadsheet and database applications (Excel, Word, Business Objects) and proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent.

  • Oversee quarterly sales planning processes and strategies.
  • Develop programs and launch content for internal teams and retail partners.
  • Implement omni-channel customer journey enhancements.
  • Develop guidelines to align programs with strategy and volume objectives.
  • Manage policy adherence and brand equity standards.
  • Coordinate closeouts, offsets, evergreen items and discontinued items.
  • Track and optimize budget spend and forecasting.

Team Summary

The Retail Marketing & Strategy team empowers Nintendo's sales teams and retail partners with strategic, business‑critical guidance to reach and influence consumers across in‑store and online retail channels. The team enhances product awareness, strengthens brand affinity, and drives sales performance through impactful marketing and promotional planning.

Responsibilities
  • Lead retail digital content strategy, including digital content cards, in‑aisle merchandising, retailer.com content, and omnichannel launch support.
  • Partner with internal teams (Engineering, Marketing, Finance, 3rd party) and retail to ensure digital content programs are accurately represented across physical and digital retail touchpoints.
  • Manage digital content readiness for retail launches, including presell coordination, product detail accuracy, merchandising requirements, and issue resolution.
  • Create and manage new tools and enhancements, and provide technical training and support to NOA, NLA, and NOCL sales and marketing teams.
  • Manage the quarterly sales planning processes, meetings, and strategies.
  • Create comprehensive programs and launch content for internal teams and retail partners.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the customer journey in an omni‑channel environment.
  • Develop guidelines to ensure program alignment with overall strategy and volume objectives.
  • Manage and track policy adherence, establishing policies that ensure brand equity is upheld.
  • Manage collaborative projects related to closeouts, offsets, evergreens, and discontinued items.
  • Track and optimize budget spend, ensuring a consistent approach to forecasting, budgeting, and administration of funds availability.
  • Manage provider relationships, contracts, and trainings for NOA.
  • Oversee the performance and optimization of Nintendo’s offerings, including effective merchandising, promotional strategies, and customer engagement.
  • Analyze program effectiveness and optimize budgetary spending with recommendations to maximize profitability and volume.

Additional Information

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid roles require regular on‑site work following the schedule and guidelines for the division. The role is not open to fully remote status at this time. Compensation includes a base pay range of $120,900–$217,650USD, potential for a semi‑annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
