Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Michigan LLC is hiring for a part-time position at our local retail store in Michigan. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, and help maintain stock levels and store cleanliness.

This role emphasizes friendly customer interactions, safe cash handling, and teamwork with store leadership. The job requires lifting up to 50 lbs, following store procedures, and providing reliable, high-quality service to shoppers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail/customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and meet demands of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, bathrooms stocked, floors swept and mopped, and areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
