Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Team Member to serve as the customer-facing anchor, stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and keeping the store clean and safe. You will operate the cash register, assist at self-checkout, and support store operations as directed by the Store Manager.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, basic math, cash handling, and planogram adherence, with high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams and safety rules.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Strong math skills and ability to perform cash register functions.
• Ability to stock and display merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to exceed the customer's expectations.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases and handle payments.
• Assist in merchandising, rotate product to create eye-catching displays.
• Assist customers in self-checkout at multiple registers.
• Follow company policies and SOPs; stock, restock and rotate merchandise.
