Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in Memphis, TN is hiring for a cashier role in a fast-paced environment. You will deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service, ring up sales, and assist customers with questions while maintaining store cleanliness.

Full training is provided, no prior experience required, and we value flexibility and teamwork. This position offers growth opportunities, an equal opportunity workplace, and benefits after the initial period.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Cash handling and POS duties to support daily transactions.
• Ability to multitask and help customers in a busy store environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide general customer service, help customers find items, answer questions about products and services.
• Balance cash register and process transactions while following laws.
• Operate deli/food safety processes and ensure proper food handling.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, sales floor, restrooms, pumps and trash runs.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Move items and lift up to 25+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.


• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.


• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.


• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.


• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.


• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
