Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a friendly cashier to join our fast-paced team. You will handle customer transactions, provide accurate service, and help customers locate products while maintaining a clean, safe environment across the store and fueling stations.

No prior experience required as training is provided; teamwork and flexibility are essential as shifts may vary and roles can cross-train into Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answer questions.
• Balancing a cash register by completing transactions and suggesting additional sales.
• Using systems to ensure proper food safety for fresh food and deli items.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly and accurate service to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, sales floor, restrooms and pumps.
• Assist in cross training in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen and Maintenance as needed.
• Move and lift up to 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.


• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.


• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.


• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.


• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.


• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
