Job summary

Love's Travel Stops seeks a friendly cashier to provide fast, accurate service at our Green River location. You will assist customers, handle cash transactions, and keep the sales area clean and inviting. No prior experience required as training is provided to teach you the ropes.

You will balance the register, learn deli and fresh food practices, and collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills to assist shoppers and answer questions.
• Ability to operate a cash register accurately and handle transactions.
• Strong communication and a friendly, helpful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in finding items and answering questions.
• Balance cash register and process transactions following laws.
• Maintain food safety for deli and fresh foods.
• Clean work areas, floors, restrooms, and pumps as needed.
• Cross-train in other departments like Restaurant Services if needed.
• Move and lift up to 25 pounds; work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
