Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New Jersey LLC in Lindenwold, NJ is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help stock and maintain the store.

You will keep areas clean, unload trucks, restock merchandise, and ensure safety and respect for customers and colleagues. The role is part-time with flexible hours; prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, and you will join a team focused on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment as per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
