Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to assist customers, handle sales transactions at the register, stock replenishment, and keep the store clean and well-organized.

You will provide friendly, efficient service, protect company assets, and support team members in a fast-paced retail environment at our Leland, North Carolina location, part-time schedule. Attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs are important for reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
