Job summary

Family Dollar in Port Acres, TX is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and ensure store presentation.

You will maintain safety, stock and unload trucks, and keep areas neat. This role requires strong customer service, communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. The position is part-time with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned*.
