POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience to all customers, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This customer service-focused team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the Store's business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. They will be responsible for taking orders, coordinating activities in the Store, providing pricing and product information, and recommending appropriate FedEx Office products and services. The Store Consultant will operate and maintain a wide variety of equipment, move boxes and equipment, stock materials, manage the production queue and output, handle complex projects, manage retail supplies, and complete tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow instructions from supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions.
  • Assist in training store team members.
Service
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand each customer's needs.
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping products, recommending suitable FedEx Office solutions.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by anticipating needs, suggesting alternatives, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Take complex customer orders, ensuring accurate pricing.
  • Assemble parcels and prepare items for shipping, including wrapping, weighing, and labeling.
  • Operate printing, binding, and related equipment using customer media and documents.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
Profit
  • Handle customer data and documents confidentially.
  • Process financial transactions accurately using POS systems.
  • Maintain and repair printing and shipping equipment, stock supplies.
  • Ensure proper display of retail merchandise and signage.
  • Prevent errors and waste proactively.
  • Complete financial paperwork and assist in financial reporting.
  • Adhere to operational, safety, legal, HR, and security policies.
Self-Management
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Seek opportunities for knowledge and skill improvement.
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Follow all team member standards and policies.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of specialized experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meet all employment qualifications at the time of hiring or transfer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Stand during entire shift, excluding breaks.
  • Lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Perform bending, twisting, and other physical activities regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
  • Work with minimal supervision and report regularly to work.
