Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This team member is knowledgeable in print, signs & graphics, and shipping, and is responsible for taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending FedEx Office products and services. They operate and maintain various equipment, manage projects, stock materials, and complete tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members
  • Assist in training store staff
Service
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand customer needs
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs, graphics, and shipping
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve issues promptly
  • Take complex orders and provide accurate pricing
  • Prepare goods for shipping and operate related equipment
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment
Profit
  • Handle customer data carefully and process transactions accurately
  • Maintain equipment and supplies for optimal performance
  • Display retail products properly and prevent errors and waste
  • Complete financial paperwork and assist in reporting
  • Adhere to company policies and legal requirements

  • Perform multiple tasks efficiently
  • Seek opportunities to improve skills
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of specialized experience
  • Excellent communication skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Stand for entire shift and lift up to 55 pounds
  • Perform bending and twisting activities
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain attention and work with minimal supervision
  • Maintain regular attendance and support business hours
