Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience in West Lafayette, IN. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, and help keep shelves stocked and the store clean.

The role emphasizes friendly interactions, safety, and teamwork. Physical tasks include lifting 30–50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking and standing.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
