Job summary

Dollar Tree is hiring a Customer Service Associate in Gaston, South Carolina for a part-time role. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help with stocking and store upkeep.

Responsibilities include handling merchandise, maintaining a safe environment, and delivering friendly service. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; lifting requirements apply and a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and endure walking, standing, bending, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
