Job summary

Family Dollar in Elgin, TX is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, unload deliveries, and keep the store clean and safe.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (preferred) and prior retail or service experience, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills. The role requires lifting 30–50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
