Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience in Opelousas, LA. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help keep the store well stocked and clean.

This part-time role emphasizes friendly, professional interactions with customers and teammates, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maintaining safety and security of cash and assets while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
