Job summary

Dollar Tree in Central Islip, NY is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage transactions at the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and organized.

The role requires good communication, reliability, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the willingness to follow instructions and safety procedures. Prior retail or service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
