Job summary

Family Dollar in Boulder, MT is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and help maintain store cleanliness and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or customer service experience is preferred. You must be able to lift 30-50 lbs and stand for extended periods, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while on cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
