Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of South Dakota LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You’ll assist customers, ring up sales, stock shelves, and help unload merchandise, while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

This role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Part-time hours with customer-facing shifts make this position ideal for community-minded individuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail customer service experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Capable of lifting 30–50 lbs and frequent walking/standing.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
