Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a store associate to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with shoppers and maintaining a clean, organized store environment at TJ Maxx stores in the Fort Walton Beach area.

You will model customer service best practices, support a positive store culture, and assist in merchandising, checkout, and safety compliance while promoting credit and loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintains and upholds merchandising standards and procedures.
• Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures.
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintains store cleanliness and safety and supports shrink reduction goals.
