Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. The role involves assisting customers, processing transactions at the register, restocking merchandise, receiving shipments, and maintaining store cleanliness to ensure a safe and positive shopping environment.

The position requires strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with a preference for those with prior retail or service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs; frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, trash, and presentable areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
