Job summary

Family Dollar in Lincolnton, GA is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to assist customers, process transactions, and maintain store standards. You will help with stocking, merchandise recovery, unloading trucks, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The role requires high school diploma (preferred) and prior retail or customer service experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
