Job summary

Dollar Tree in Smyrna, Delaware is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and help maintain a clean, safe store.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior customer service experience. You should be able to lift 30–50 lbs, stand and walk for long periods, and communicate effectively with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Keep the store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, and ensure neat areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
