Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience at our Mount Airy location. You will assist customers, handle transactions, safeguard cash, stock shelves, and help unload merchandise.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe store and delivering friendly, professional service while following store policies and procedures. Part-time role with opportunities for growth and perks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
